Dan Bailey is the UK Government CDDO CTO. With over 25 years experience in the IT industry, having worked across the globe in numerous industries. He is thought leader in Digital Engagement, Mobile First Solutions, Cloud Computing and High Availability. He has experience of innovation projects such as the first biometric immigration system, as well as large complex systems that could bankrupt major states if it failed for longer than 20 mins. He, pioneered the UK Government G-Cloud programme, led IBM’s corporate cloud strategy and based on practical client experience has built numerous complex highly available systems. He’s a Fellow of the British Computer Society (FBCS), a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (FIET), a Chartered IT Professional (CITP), a Distinguished Architect (The Open Group), tech chair of BIMA and an IBM Distinguished Engineer.
