As Chief Digital Officer (job share) at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, Harriet and Myra are working to ensure both a smooth exit from the EU and that digital is in the forefront of Defra’s activity to improve our environment and strengthen food and farming in the UK.  Previously as joint Director Digital at the British Council, Harriet and Myra led a global, award-winning digital transformation of this £1bn organisation, which works in 120 countries.  As Director of Ecommerce they rolled out a global ecommerce platform for the British Council’s online learning offer.  Previously Harriet and Myra both worked at the BBC: Harriet as a Commissioning Editor and Myra as Head of New Media, both at the BBC World Service, leading the transformation of an analogue broadcaster to digital content production. Harriet also works as a NED in the arts sector, Myra has served as a NED in the NHS and academia.
